Hogs and Kisses Card with Gina Marie Designs Dies

If you caught my blog post yesterday, you know I recently stopped by my friend Gina's Scrapbook Outlet store and bought a few of her new dies. She has so many fun ones! She let me have this adorable little hedgehog die for free and just asked me to make a card using him and post it to her FB page since she didn't have any card samples with him yet. I couldn't stop with just the one I made yesterday! I had to have a card where I could use this little guy multiple times!

He fits great on the inner circles of the Gina Marie Designs "Stitched Background Circle Plate Die," so I die cut the circle plate die in 2 different colors and then die cut 5 little hedgehogs and adhered them with foam squares to pop them up a little. I stamped a sentiment using the Hero Arts "Animal Sentiments" set.

You can find the dies I used here and lots of other great dies at fabulous prices at Gina's online store http://wholesalecraftingsupplies.com.

Gina Marie Designs Outdoor Scene Card

I recently visited my friend Gina's scrapbook outlet store and picked up some fun new dies from her Gina Marie Designs line. If you haven't visited her online store, you need to check out all the fun new dies she's added recently. Here's the link: http://wholesalecraftingsupplies.com. You won't believe how reasonable her prices are!
For this card, I used the lovely "Birch Tree Die" (only $10 for this cover plate die!) to die cut white glitter cardstock. I mounted it on black glitter cardstock and adhered that to the card base.
I added a red bird from Gina Marie Designs "Little Birds" set (only $1 for a set of three birds--you can see the other two birds from the set on the inside of my card). Then I added a gray mouse from the "Little Mice Dies" and stamped the sentiment from  Gina Marie Designs "Bible Quotes 4" ($8.50 for a set of 13 clear stamps) onto the same gray cardstock. I die cut it with Gina Marie Designs "Rounded Stitched Rectangles" ($10 for a set of 10 dies). I die cut a red mat to go behind the sentiment.
The star of this card is the "Little Hedgehog" die cut. He's $3, but Gina gave him to me for free and just asked that I make a card with him for her and post it to her FB page. She's so sweet! And isn't that little hedgehog adorable?! I die cut him and simply added a little detail for his nose and quills. Being a proud hedgehog owner, I love when I find dies and stamps of hedgehogs!
For the inside of the card, I used Gina Marie Designs "Lacey Doily Dies" ($10 for a set of 3 dies) to die cut the sentiment and mat. The sentiment is from Gina Marie Designs "Bird Quotes" ($8.50 for a set of 8 clear stamps).

Sweet Birthday for The Outlawz

This week over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge, our twist is Anything Goes! Hope you'll join us with 2 of your creations this week!
Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo! They have a great selection of digi stamps and papers you'll enjoy. Check out their store here: http://www.bugaboostamps.com
For my easel card, I used a cut file from the Silhouette Online Store. I had some fun ice cream cone paper I used as a background here for the yummy ice cream cones by Bugaboo. I used my Silhouette Design Studio software to do a print and cut of the three cones and then colored them with Copic and MEXPY markers.
For the sentiment, I die cut the same ice cream paper used behind the digi stamps using a Gina Marie Designs X-Stitched Rectangle die. Then I stamped it with a CTMH clear stamp. I added a few enamel dots to finish it off.

August Progressive Monthly Freebie Card for The Outlawz

This month over at The Outlawz Monthly Progressive Freebie Challenge, we were given this lovely digi by Andrea Norris of Sheepski Designs. Isn't she gorgeous?! Thank you so much, Andrea!
For my card, I made a pink card base and die cut the image and blue background using Gina Marie Designs X-Stitched Rectangle dies. I colored the digi with MEXPY markers and then die cut some Spellbinders foliage and floral dies in matching colors to embellish the card a bit. The digi lends itself to a variety of different uses, so I'll wait to stamp a sentiment depending on whether this ends up as a birthday card, a thank you card, a friendship card or something else entirely.

Cupcake Card for The Outlawz

This week over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge, our twist is "cupcake." Use a cupcake on your projects for an extra point in our monthly drawing!
Our sponsor for this month is Bugaboo, and you'll find a wonderful variety of fun digi stamps and papers in their store at:http://www.bugaboostamps.com They even have a new Freebie posted every Friday!
I decided to do a cupcake-shaped card as well as using a digi with a cupcake in it. I used my Fiskar's crimping tool for the "cupcake paper" the card slides into at the bottom. The sentiment is from a CTMH clear stamp, and the die cut was made with a Gina Marie Designs Stitched Circles die.
For my digi, I used my Silhouette Design Studio software to size up this sweet little turtle and then printed him out and colored him with Copic and MEXPY markers. I die cut him using a Gina Marie Designs Stitched Ovals die.

Hey, Foxy for GSD Challenge

This month for the Gerda Steiner Designs monthly progressive freebie challenge, Gerda gave us this darling fox to play with. In the original digi, the fox is shown sitting on some grass. He's adorable that way, but I decided to do something a little different with him for my card. I sized him up to use just his cute little face (using my Silhouette Design Studio software) and then drew circle cut files to cut just that part of him out when I did a print and cut. I colored him using MEXPY markers.
I made the circle background overlay by drawing a circle, replicating it several times on the top and bottom and and then welding the 6 circles together. I typed the sentiment and drew a rectangle cut file around it before doing a print and cut of it.
The card base is slightly larger than an A2 card.

Fun in the Sun for The Outlawz

This week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge, our twist is "Fun in the Sun." For me, fun in the sun is synonymous with swimming and pools!
Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo, and you can find loads of fun digi stamps and papers at their store, as well as a new freebie every Friday! Check it out: http://www.bugaboostamps.com
My card base is an A2 card with the corners rounded. I used some fun paper with #SUMEMERTIME on it for the background here and rounded the bottom edges to match the card base.
I had some digi Washi tape with waves on it I thought would look cute here, so I sized it up with my Silhouette Design Studio software and fussy cut it before adhering it to the background paper.
I found a pool in my digi library (sorry I don't know where it came from originally) and did a print and cut of it after sizing it up for my card. Then I did a print and cut of my little Bugaboo monkey with his inner tube and colored him with Copics and MEXPY markers.

Cute as a Bug Card for The Outlawz

This week over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge, we twist is "Ladybug(s)."
Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo! They have a great selection of digi stamps and digi papers you'll enjoy. Check out their store here: http://www.bugaboostamps.com They have a lot of digis with ladybugs along with a wide assortment of other themes!
For my card, I made a top-hinge card using a Spellbinder's Grand Squares die. Then I die cut a smaller size from that set and used a Gina Marie Designs Stitched Square die to dust an aperture in the larger square for my shaker element. I used foam tape around the edges of the inner square to pop up my frame and acetate. I used assorted beads, plain sequins and some flower-shaped sequins I won from Paper Sweeties for the inside of the shaker. I also decorated the outside of the frame with a few of the red flower-shaped sequins and added a metallic flower I won from Quick Quotes.
