FTHS Blowing Kisses Card, Take 2

This card is my second take on the "Blowing Kisses" digital stamp set by From the Heart Stamps. I wanted to try a different look by choosing more traditional Christmas colors for this card. I paper pieced the hat and mittens on the cute snow person (see my previous post for instructions about paper piecing digitally with Silhouette Design Studio software). Then I followed the sketch for this week's FRTS I {heart} Sketches Challenge and chose to use one of the sentiments from the "Blowing Kisses" set. "Christmas Hugs and Kisses" made me think of my Cuttlebug embossing folder with Xs and Os, so I used that to emboss a white A2 blank card. Then I made 2 banners for behind my image (I cut them freehand), embossed them with the accessory Xs and Os embossing strip and adhered them with glue tape.
I added some texture to my image by using my Marvy Snow Marker and then sprinkling glitter on the pompon and ground around the snowperson's feet. I cut out my image using Spellbinders Labels 8, and then cut out the mat using Spellbinders Majestic Labels 8 and another Spellbinders Labels 8. I adhered the mat with foam squares to pop it up a bit and then adhered the image with glue tape.
I needed an accent in the left corner to match the sketch, so I used the smallest die from Spellbinders "Floral Burst" die set to cut out a "snowflake" from double-sided Christmas paper. Now the sketch part was complete, but I felt like the card needed a little something extra in the right bottom corner for balance. I chose a couple little details from some Christmas card stock and cut them out and adhered them with glue dots. Then I added a little silver star for some sparkle.
