I chose some cheerful colors to make this card, and put in an aperture by using Spellbinders Beaded Ovals dies. I trimmed some transparency paper to cover the opening and adhered it between the blank white card and the patterned paper. I die cut a smaller Spellbinders Beaded Oval for the mat on the front and used Spellbinders Classic Ovals for the sentiment. The stamps on the envelope flap and the card front are Close To My Heart stamps. ("Card Chatter-Sympathy" for "You are in my prayers" and "Words of Comfort" for "Our hearts are with you")
For the verse, I typed it up on the computer using a few different fonts and colors. Then I die cut it with my Cuttlebug using Spellbinders Classic Ovals.
The orange sequins look reddish in the picture but are actually orange to match the patterned paper. I think the patterned paper is from DCWV Citrus Stack. (The butterfly, also)

It's hard to go through trials, but it means the world to know that someone is thinking about you! You not only have been thinking about your friend, but you've made her a beautiful card, too.
