FTHS Gift Stack Teddy Card

I'm always excited to see what Faith Skrdla will come up with for the monthly progressive challenge over at From the Heart Stamps. This month she created a darling digi of a teddy bear by a stack of gifts on which his little mouse friend is standing. "Gift Stack Teddy" also comes with 3 great sentiments, but this time I chose to use a "Happy Birthday, Jesus" sentiment. This card combines elements of all 3 FTHS challenges going on right now. There's the monthly progressive challenge I've just mentioned, and the weekly sketch challenge this card follows, but there is also a birthday card link-up connected with the great blog hop going on this weekend. You can find the hop on the FTHS blog. For my card, I created the base using a hinge card made with Spellbinders Grand Labels 11. For the mat behind my image, I used a Marianne Die from the Rectangle Frame and Flourishes set. I cut out my image using a die from WPlus9's Sunshine Layers die set. The "Happy Birthday, Jesus" sentiment was cut using a Spellbinders classic long rectangles die.
I sized up and printed out the digi using my Silhouette Design Studio software. Then I colored it using Copics and MEXPY markers and blue Stickles for the trim on the bear's hat. I wish I would have chosen a lighter brown for the bear because it's hard to see his facial features with the color I used. I wound up using googly eyes on him so his eyes could be made out better.
I tied a silver jingle bell and a silver gift to the top left of the card and glued a bow above them. Then I made a bow with green velvet ribbon using my Ultimate Crafter's Companion tool. I added some holly and berry sequins to the sentiment and 3 blue gems to the image panel to finish up.
