Quill You Be Mine Card

During the month of December, my friend Teresa Arsenault offered to create a custom digi stamp for anyone who used her images on a card that month. Since I made a card with her darling digi of a mouse stirring a cup of cocoa, she made good on her promise by creating this adorable hedgehog for me. I am the proud owner of an African Pygmy hedgehog named Henry and was delighted that Henry had his own digital stamp! Thanks, Teresa! For my card base, I used folded an 8 1/2 X 11 inch piece of red shimmer cardstock in half lengthwise to make a card that's 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 inches. Then I used my Silhouette Design Studio software to size up my hedgehog and to write up the sentiment. I got the idea for this sentiment from Mynn Kitchen whose blog On a Stampage is full of great ideas and inspiration. I printed out my digi and sentiment and colored little Henry the Hedgehog with Copic and MEXPY markers. I die cut him with a stitched circle die by Gina Marie Designs. I used a stitched oval die by Gina Marie designs for the sentiment, and some of the stitched hearts by Gina Marie Designs for embellishments. I tucked the sentiment inside a little Kraft envelope by Paper Studio. I punched a hole in the sentiment die cut so I could tie some red floss to the end to pull it out easily.

The inside of the card uses another of Teresa's images that she generously gave to the members of the Outlawz monthly progressive challenge group this month. I colored her with Copics and stamped an acrylic love word art heart stamp with Rose Bud Memento ink that I die cut with another stitched heart die from Gina Marie Designs.
