MHK Designs Thinking Of You Card

This week over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge, our "twist" is to use embossing on your project. This can be dry or wet embossing, and I used both on my card.

I started with a top fold card I cut to measure 4 1/2 X 5 3/4 inch. I used Papertrey Ink cardstock for both the card base and the yellow cardstock I embossed with a Spellbinders embossing folder.

For the image and sentiment, I used my Silhouette Design Studio software to size up and print them out. I did a trace of the digi and then created an offset cut file so I could do a print and cut of the digi. I printed the image on white cardstock and colored it with Copic and MEXPY markers. I added yellow Wink of Stella accents to the bits of pollen.

I used vellum to print the sentiment, sprinkling WOW! "Florida Sunset" embossing powder onto the vellum as it came out of the printer. Then I used my heat tool to heat emboss it. I then die cut it with a Gina Marie Designs stitched drop pennant die. I added a sweet little button tied with twine t the sentiment tag.

To assemble the card, I used foam tape to adhere the embossed panel, a thinner foam tape to adhere the floral digi, and clear glue dots to adhere the sentiment and button. 

Here's a close up to see the Wink of Stella accents and the sparkly embossing powder. It's actually quite pink in the container!
