I'm so blessed to be a Guest Designer on the Word Art Wednesday challenge blog this month, where there's always a free scripture word art available every two weeks. The verse for this time is one of my favorites: Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from Psalm 150:6.
To create my card for the new challenge, I followed Lynn Dunn's instructions here: Front Step Pop Up Card - Lynn Dunn - Stamptastic Designs LLC. There's a free pdf you can download and print out if you'd like to try this fun fold.
I chose a cheerful yellow for my top-folding A2 card base and then created the pop-up step card out of white cardstock. I stenciled the back panel of the white cardstock using Altenew's Squiggly Lines stencil and Altenew's Fresh Leaf Fresh Dye Ink.
For the back panel of the fun fold, I stenciled Altenew's Impressionist Bouquet set, stenciling extra flowers to add layers to the image. There are dies in the set to die cut the large image as well as all the flowers separately. I love how that allows me to layer up the flowers so easily. After assembling all the pieces and using fun foam to layer up all the flowers, I added the image to the back panel of the fun fold.
For the yellow inner piece as well as the yellow panel on the front of the fun fold, I used Altenew's Spring Blossoms 3D embossing folder to add embossing to the pieces. Then I printed out the verse and die cut it using Altenew's Ornate Nesting Die set. I added some sheer yellow ribbon from my stash behind the verse and then popped up the verse using Altenew's 1-inch wide and 1/16- inch thick Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
I hope you'll join the fun over at Word Art Wednesday by linking up your beautiful creations here: Word Art Wednesday. The theme is always Anything Goes.

DeleteWhat a beautiful card, Carrie! It's got all of the creative touches that I love ~ beautiful images, papers and texture. The double easel is my preference of a regular easel because the recipient doesn't need instructions on how to display it! LOL Hope you have a great weekend, my friend!
