I recently attended a class with Altenew Educator Liz Ortiz and enjoyed creating this fun fold Christmas card. She has a Youtube channel which you can find here: (13) Liz O. - YouTube.
All the papers I used to create this card are from Your Paper Insider. I used: Kelly Green Cadillac, Denim Mohawk Renewal, Mars Stardream, Wood Kogagami, and Silver Holographic More Dots, and White Glitter cardstock. Such fun names, right? If you'd like to subscribe to Your Paper Insider's quarterly box of mystery papers or shop for any of their specialty paper collections, I'd be so grateful if you shopped with my affiliate link. I earn a small commission at no extra cost to you: Your Paper Insider.
I followed Liz's instructions for the measurements of the fun fold card base and used the Denim Mohawk Renewal cardstock for that part. I die cut Altenew's Through the Window window die through the front panel of the card and added acetate behind the opening before adhering the window frame back in place over the acetate. Then I trimmed a piece of the Wood Kogagami paper to the same size as the front panel and die cut the window die out of it (I lined it up with the Denim Mohawk Renewal panel to get the placement of the die right). I adhered the Wood Kogagami to the Denim Mohawk Renewal front panel before doing more die cutting. The Through the Window die set includes dies for the window shutters, a window box, and little decorations for all 4 seasons. I chose the pine branches and berries and the little snow die cut to add to my card. I wanted the look of a home all decorated for the holidays, so I added the pine boughs and berries just inside the window and then added the Silver Holographic More Dots cardstock to the back of the card that shows through the window so that the house has a magical, glowing look like Christmas lights. Then I die cut a bird from a Altenew's Craft-Your-Life: Whispers in the Canopy project kit (this project kit is coming out in December) and added him to the window. For the sentiment, I stamped "Sending love and prayers for a blessed holiday season" using Altenew's Blessings stamp set. To finish the card, I added some of Altenew's White Titanium gouache spritzed with water and splattered over the card front to create the look of snow.
If you're interested in shopping at Altenew, I'd love it if you used my affiliate link here: Carrie's Altenew Link. Altenew carries many versatile die sets like I the ones I used for this card.
