Revelation 17:14 Word Art Freebie

Recently my mom commissioned me to make some cards for her to give to the women who have been in her Bible Study Fellowship discussion group this year. She didn't give me a verse but just told me to choose something myself. There have been so many wonderful verses in our study of Revelation this year, but I chose Revelation 17:14 and made my first attempt at creating word art. It was much more time-consuming than I thought it would be! Still, it was fun to play with fonts and sizes and decide where to put each word. I wanted the verse to fit on a banner, so I made it tall and narrow. The fonts I used for the word art are Calibri and Calligrafitti.
I used white A2 card bases and cut a strip of chalkboard paper with lambs on it from The Paper Studio. Then I die cut using a Spellbinders crown die and silver cardstock. Next I die cut the verse using a Gina Marie Designs banner die. They are rather simple but elegant, I think. I made enough of them to give to the children in my level 3 BSF class, our BSF class staff and the BSF children's leaders my 3 youngest children had this year. This verse just seems to sum up the whole book of Revelation so well.
I'm a little late in posting this because I wanted to give away the word art I made and didn't know how to convert the silhouette file to a .png file. I googled how to do that this week and downloaded the free version of bullzip so I could convert the file and post it here. It's yours for the taking if you are interested! I'm hoping to fit in more time to do Scripture word art, so I'll be sure to share any new work here.

PoppyStamps Sympathy Card

A dear friend of mine lost her sister to cancer this week, and I wanted to make her a pretty sympathy card that also reminded her of God's care for her and her family. I had some lovely A2 card blanks from The Paper Studio and used one of those for my base. Then I die cut a Gina Marie Designs stitched banner die from pink cardstock and stamped it with 1 Peter 5:7 from Verve Stamps. Then I used the PoppyStamps die "Delicate Mum" to die cut the flower from pink glitter cardstock. I wanted to keep more of the sparkle, so I added back a few of the pieces that were die cut. I just love the beauty and elegance of this die!

MHK Designs John 15 Card

Hello, crafty friends! Today over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge, our "twist" is ANYTHING GOES! I hope you'll stop in and join us!
Our wonderful sponsor this month has been MHK Designs, and Mynn Kitchen has loads of beautiful sets for you on her etsy site at https://www.etsy.com/shop/MHKDesigns?ref=hdr_shop_menu
For my card this week, I'm using MHK Designs' "Simple Roses" set. Mynn has included 2 lovely scriptures in this set along with that pretty rose you see here. I embossed the rose on vellum by sprinkling gold embossing powder on the digi as it was coming out of the printer. After heat embossing the rose, I colored it with "Metallic Melon" Gelatos and some Pebbles cream chalk for the leaf. Coloring was easy since I didn't worry about staying in the lines knowing I would be fussy cutting it out.
For the card base, I made a side-fold card using Gina Marie Designs "Fancy Vine Frame Dies" die cut in white card with a fold just below one of the cut lines so the card base would hold together. Then I die cut the same frame in green and adhered it to the front of the card base. Using the same set, I die cut a melon cardstock by PTI that matched my Gelato color. I then die cut another of the Fancy Vine Frame dies from a matching green cardstock (both green papers are from a Stamping Up! paper pad) to adhere to the melon layer.
For the sentiment, I sized it up using my Silhouette Design Studio software and then printed it out on white cardstock. I die cut it with the smallest frame from the same Fancy Vine Frame collection and used my Krylon gold leafing pen to color the edges. I adhere the little vellum rose with a glue dot after layering the panels of the card with various thicknesses of foam tape.
Isn't that frame set lovely? I'm so excited for my friend Gina as her company is really taking off. If you'd like to see a selection of her dies, embossing folders and stamps, visit http://wholesalecraftingsupplies.com/t/-gina-marie-designs. You won't believe her prices! This Fancy Vine frame is only $10!
Here's a better look at the verse and the rose:

FTHS Graduation Card

This year I have a lot of graduation cards to make. My son's girlfriend is graduating from high school along with several kids from my church (my husband is on the board of youth at our church and teaches the high school Sunday school class, so we know these kids well) and a few kids of good friends of ours. I decided to get one of those graduation cards made today by using the sketch over on the From The Heart Stamps blog.
I used a 5x7 inch white card base and some school-themed design paper to copy the sketch. I love my new notebook die by My Favorite Things. I used it to die cut the Papertrey Ink number paper behind my Birdbrain digi.
Instead of a banner, I used some yellow twine behind the digi. I added a Close to My Heart sentiment from the "You Did It!" clear stamp set and die cut it with a Gina Marie Designs stitched circle die. I used another die from that set for the blue circle behind the digi. For the typewriter key dp, I used one of my new Lawn Fawn stitched line dies, and I used another on the dp with the scissors, globes and other school items. It was fun being able to add stitches to a panel of any size instead of being limited by the size of my rectangle stitched dies!
Here's a look at the different dps I used. It's nice to finally use some of these papers! I'm terrible about buying papers I think are so cute and then never using them!
Congratulations to the members of the class of 2016!

Pucker Up Card

This month over at GSD's monthly challenge, Gerda gave us this darling mouse to play with. I love his lopsided grin!
For my card, I die cut some Richard Garay cardstock with a Gina Marie Designs X-stitched rectangle die and also die cut a Gina Marie stitched square die in the center of the top portion. After sizing up my digi using my Silhouette Design Studio software and printing it out, I die cut it with the same stitched square die so it fit in the aperture. I popped it up with foam squares to adhere it.
I die cut a PoppyStamps die for the CTMH sentiment. I colored everything with Copic and MEXPY markers.
For the mouse's drink, I fussy cut another straw to give some dimension and used vellum for the ice cubes (also fussy cut). Then I used clear cardstock for the whole cup to give it the look of a glass of lemonade.

Heard You've "Bean" Sick

My mom recently asked me to make her some get well soon cards for her, and I thought I'd be a little creative and use an image I wouldn't normally use for a get well soon card. These adorable Birdbrains by From the Heart Stamps have come in handy before, and I liked the idea of making a pun with the word "bean," so here they are again! The image was pre-colored by Faith Skrdla, and I received it for donating to her daughters hockey team last fall. I love how colorful it is! This would sure cheer me if if I were sick, how about you?
I used a 5X7 inch white card base and decorated it with some fun washi tape. Then I die cut the image with a Gina Marie Designs stitched square die and die cut the sentiment and the sponged rectangle with Gina Marie Designs Wonky rectangle dies. I die cut an orange banner with a Gina Marie stitched banner die to match this week's sketch at I {heart} sketches with a tWist. You can find all these die sets for only $10 each along with lots of other great dies and stamps at http://wholesalecraftingsupplies.com.
I sponged some ink onto my background panel and the sentiment panel (I wrote the sentiment using my Silhouette Design Studio software and the font "Aaargh").
For the inside, I die cut another Gina Marie Wonky Rectangle die and sponged the edges. Then I stamped a sunburst stamp I received as a free gift with purchase from My Scrapbook Pal recently and used a Lawn Fawn "get well soon" sentiment over top of that.
