Cozy Christmas Card

This sweet bear is Gerda Steiner's Stamp of the Month for her monthly progressive challenge. Isn't he adorable? I decided to digitally paper piece him using my Silhouette Design Studio software. I traced the image and filled in the various pieces using some different patterns. Then I did a print and cut of the original stamp and the different pieces of the bear. Once I had several bears cut out, I adhered the different layers to the original stamp, building some areas up more than others. When I finished, I adhered him with foam squares to a 4x6 inch card I had embossed with a Taylored Expressions holly embossing folder. Then I adhered the sentiment with foam squares.

Give Thanks Card--Imagine That! Digis and My Sheri Crafts

This month Imagine That! Digi's Progressive challenge, we have a lovely fall basket with a few variations and some wonderful sentiments. There are outlines and precolored images included, and I chose this version of the pre-colored basket with "Give Thanks" above it. It's so perfect for Thanksgiving!
After sizing up and printing out this digi using my Silhouette Design Studio software, I cut it out with a WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die. Then I die cut 3 layers of adhesive-backed foam with the same die but using the smaller rectangle from the set to cut out a window for the image and shaker pieces. I used some clear cardstock from Papertrey Ink for the window and some fall-colored seed beads, leaf-shaped sequins, and miniature cut-outs of the harvest basket that I did using the print and cut feature on my Silhouette for the shaker pieces. I embossed my 5X7 card with a Paper Studio embossing folder, running it through my Cut 'N Boss twice to emboss the whole length of the card.

Cool Birthday Card

This month at DeeDee's digis, the design of the month is called "Polar Dreams" and has several sweet images and sentiments, with the images in pre-colored and outline forms. I used one of the precolored images for this birthday card.
After importing the digi set to my Silhouette Design Studio, I chose this particular precolored image and the "Have a Cool birthday" sentiment for my card. I sized them up and cut them out on my Silhouette Portrait. Then I wanted to create a scene, so I made some waves with Pink and Main's scalloped waves dies, clouds and sun from WPlus9 Sunshine Layers dies and a blue sky with some shimmery light blue cardstock. The clouds and sun are made from adhesive-backed foam. The card base is a white top-fold card 6x6 inches.

Deck the Halls Birdbrain Card

 

This month's progressive challenge over at From the Heart Stamps includes this fun Birdbrain image, the sentiment I used on the card, and some other great sentiments. I always eagerly look forward to the start of the new month when I receive Faith's design of the month. She created a wonderful Christmas design for this month!
To start my card, I imported the digi stamp set into my Silhouette Design Studio software and isolated the ornament that was trailing the Birdbrain. Then I enlarged it and duplicated it all over the page and printed it out on red cardstock. To make the step card base, I used a cut file from the Silhouette Online Store. Then I sized up the image and sentiment and did a print and cut of them on white card stock. I also did a trace on some more ornaments using my Silhouette Design Studio software so I could print and cut them, as well.
I colored everything with Copic markers as well as a Sargent Liquid Metal marker for the gold ornament toppers. I adhered the sentiment with glue tape and the ornaments and image with foam squares.
