Birdbrain Jack-O-Lantern Card

I enjoy trying the sketches each week at I {heart} Sketches on the From The Heart Stamps blog, but I confess that this one had me stumped! I could not seem to get the the layout to work with all those strips on the bottom we had to include! I almost gave up, but then I looked at some of the entries and saw that they had flipped the sketch! Genius! Once I had the strips on the side, it all came together nicely. Thanks for the inspiration, fellow challenge participants!
My card base is a 5X7 inch Kraft card. My image is "Birdbrain Jack-O-Lantern," and my sentiment is from the the "Pumpkin Patch Girl" set. Both sets are by From the Heart Stamps.
I used my Silhouette Design Studio software to size up the image and sentiment. Then I printed them and colored the image with Copic and MEXPY markers. I added black sequin glitter to the bird's eyes by painting on some American Bead and Glitter glue with a small paintbrush and then covering with the black glitter.

I liked the "Hello, Pumpkin" sentiment from last month's SOTM, but I hadn't had a chance to use it yet. I decided it would be cute on a little tag at the top. I used a Spellbinders Label 8 to cut it out, and then I adhered it to the tag with a large glue dot. I adhered the tag to the top corner of the card with foam squares.
To follow the sketch, I used some yellow twine, orange polka dot Washi tape and yellow ribbon with an orange pattern on it. I added a button tied with yellow twine to the sentiment tag, and that was it!
