I recently attended a class led by Altenew Educator Ishani S, and we used Altenew's Fresh Pears Layering Die Set. I plan to send this in my first care package to my youngest daughter who just left on a 6-month deployment.
To begin, I created a top-folding A2 card out of heavyweight black cardstock. Aside from the black cardstock, all papers are from Your Paper Insider. For the front of the card, I trimmed a piece of Charcoal Thai Unryu paper (adhered to black cardstock to give it more stability) to 4 by 5 1/4 inches. Then I die cut another piece of the same Charcoal Thai Unryu paper using Altenew's Flowing Leaves die. I adhered the layers together and added them to the front of the black card base.
Next, I die cut the pears out of Lime Thai Unryu adhered to white cardstock for stability. I die cut the leaves out of Lime Satin Shine cardstock and added a blended a bit of Altenew's Fresh Leaf and Reindeer Moss Fresh Dye Ink onto the leaves. For the branch, I die cut Bronze Glitter Cardstock. For the flowers, I die cut Tarasen Zen Pink Pearl paper, Yellow Custard Rayon Shippou, and Chlorophyll Yellow Gmund Reaction (the flower dies are also from the Fresh Pear layering die set). I assembled the flowers, pears, and leaves onto the branch and added the assembled piece to the top of the card using Altenew's Instant Dimension Foam Tape.
For the sentiment on the front of the card, I stamped "sending you warm hugs" from Altenew's Craft-Your-Life: Sweet Harvest project kit onto Bright Hot Pink cardstock. I added it to the card front using more foam tape.
To decorate the inside of the card, I trimmed a panel of Bright Hot Pink cardstock to 4 by 5 1/4 inches. I added a pear and a flower and then stamped "love you" using the same Sweet Harvest stamp set. To finish the card, I adhered the pink panel to the inside of the card.
