Today I'm sharing a card I made for Altenew's February new release which is now available for purchase. The sentiment on my card is so perfect for how I feel about being a Guest Designer for my favorite craft company: Blessed! I'm still pinching myself that Altenew sent me a box of amazing products to play with!
I wanted a large card to showcase the amazing florals in the new Craft-Your-Life: Garden Whispers project kit, so I created a card loosely based on a video by Iced Images here: 🔵 5" x 7" Accordion Pillar Card | Edited Livestream. I say loosely based because I redesigned where the pillars went, but the idea for the card came from Iced Images, so I wanted to give her credit.
The Craft-Your-Life: Garden Whispers project kit includes a stamp set, die set, stencil set, and embossing folder that coordinate beautifully together. I used the stamps to stamp the floral images and then die cut them and used the stencils to do some ink blending to color them. I used inks from the new Bubblegum Dreams and Whispering Woodland Fresh Dye Ink Collections to color the florals. Then I embossed the larger floral image. The embossing folder in this set is lovely on its own, but here I used it to emboss the coordinating stamped and die cut image.
I used yellow cardstock for the card base and pillars and then ink blended white cardstock with Altenew's Fresh Leaf Fresh Dye Ink from the Whispering Woodland Fresh Dye Ink Collection. Then I used Reindeer Moss Fresh Dye Ink from the same ink collection through Altenew's Foiled Leaf stencil to add a bit of texture. For the outside panels, I used Fuchsia Fresh Dye Ink from the Bubblegum Dreams Fresh Dye Ink Collection through the first stencil in the Scattered Tiles Builder Stencil Set. Then I used Brushed Pyrite Shimmer Relief Paste through the second stencil in the set to add some shine and dimension.
I ink blended more of the Fuchsia Fresh Dye onto white cardstock and die cut the word "Blessed" out of it. Then I die cut the shadow out of black cardstock and adhered the sentiment to the green pillar after arranging the florals where I wanted them.
I've recently become an affiliate for Altenew, so if you are interested in ordering something lovely from Altenew and would like to use my link, thank you very much! Here's the link: Carrie's Altenew affiliate page

Creative Creases Challenge: ATG with a fun fold (unlimited entries; ends at the end of the month)
The Paper Shelter: Make your own background (1/2; end 2/12/25)
As You Like It Challenge: Stamping or Digi and why? I tend to prefer stamping, especially when there are coordinating dies, embossing folders, and stencils like with Altenew's Craft-Your-Life project kits. I think the ability to heat emboss physical stamps is another advantage. (1/3; ends 2/19/25)
