Candy Run for Twisted Thursday at The Outlawz

This week over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge, our "twist" is to use your favorite From The Heart digi stamp! With so many great stamps to choose from, this is a tough one!
Our sponsor for September is the wonderful From the Heart digi stamp company! You'll want to check out their store and look at all the great digi sets Faith Skrdla has designed. There's something for every occasion, and you can find some freebies and $1 digi sets that are a fantastic bargain! Here's the link: http://fromtheheartstamps.com/shop/
I have many favorites by From the Heart stamps, and this set called "Candy Run" is definitely one of them! Isn't that mouse adorable?!
I used my Silhouette Design Studio software to size up and digitally color my digi. Then I did an offset file so I could print and cut him using my printer and Silhouette machine.
I used some fun Halloween papers and dies from Spellbinders' Labels 28 and Decorative Labels 28 to make the side-hinge card and layers. I added some fun candy embellishments to finish the card.

My card features the set "Feel Better" and includes a sentiment from the set. I sized up my digi and sentiment and did an offset file for the digi stamp and used a label cut file for the sentiment. I printed them out and cut them with my Silhouette machine. Then I colored them with MEXPY markers.
I used a Spellbinders embossing folder (Mediterranean Medallion) to emboss the gray cardstock behind the digi. Then I used a Fiskar's punch to add a border to the top and bottom of the card.
I added a small glass bottle and chipboard spoon I colored with a silver metallic marker to complete the card.

I used "Nerd Girl Potion" and one of the fun sentiments from the set for my card. I sized them up and printed and die cut them using my Silhouette Design Studio software. I did a print and cut of the digi and colored her using Copic and MEXPY markers.
For my step card, I used a cut file on my Silhouette to make the card base using white card stock. Then I cut the vellum paper with hearts using my Silhouette machine for the bottom and side cuts and a Memory Box notebook die for the center die cut behind the digi. I added some additional die cuts using Die-Namica dies from their "Chemistry" set.

For my card, I used an orange 5X7 inch card base and added a Spellbinders A2 Filigree Delight die cut as the background for my cute digi called "Birdbrain Jack-O-Lantern." The sentiment is from the same set. I used my Silhouette Design Studio software to size up, print and cut the digi and print the sentiment which I die cut using Gina Marie Designs Stitched Rounded Rectangles dies.
I colored the digi using Copic markers and added a 3D pumpkin embellishment next to the digi. Then I die cut a pumpkin using the "Gourds and Pumpkins" die set by Poppy Stamps and adhered it to the bottom part of the sentiment after coloring the stem brown.

Birthday Fun for Twisted Thursday at The Outlawz

This week over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge, our twist is "BIRTHDAY FUN"! Remember that the twist is always optional, so you can enter any 2 projects each week whether you choose to follow the twist or not!

For my 5X7 inch card, I used the digi from the set "Birthday Cat Pout." Because I contributed to a fundraiser the owner of the company had last fall, I was able to get the precolored version of this set, and that's what I've used here.
I added a cupcake border using EK Success "Cupcake Chain" punch and some silver glitter card stock. I also added some sequins and a metallic cupcake charm.
The die cut panel with the digi and the die cut frame around it were cut using Waffleflower's "Lacey Layers" dies. The embossed circle die cut was made by embossing the Spellbinders' "Splendid Circles" dies onto yellow card and then die cutting around the edge with a Spellbinders circle die.

Hello, blogger friends! I'm back from semi-retirement to post this adorable piggy Faith Skrdla gave away for this month's SOTM progressive challenge over on the From the Heart Stamps blog. Faith has been battling brain cancer, and I am absolutely THRILLED that she is feeling well enough to be creating some new digis and sketches for the weekly sketch challenges over on the FTHS blog. Although my job has picked up quite a bit (cutting into my craft time, unfortunately, and necessitating a hiatus from my DT position on the Outlawz and from blogging in general!), I didn't want to miss out on celebrating Faith's return.

For this card, I used the Hershey's kisses Faith included in the SOTM as a background for the banners and colored them with my silver leafing marker. To follow the sketch, I added a bow, printed the sentiment (also included in the SOTM) on vellum, digitally colored the cute piggy and did a print and cut of him using my Silhouette machine.

For the inside of the card, I used a Gina Marie Designs die to die cut the frame and sentiment (sentiment is from a CTMH clear stamp set) and added another Hershey's kiss I printed and cut with my Silhouette before coloring with my silver leafing marker.

I hope all of you are having a wonderful 2017 so far. May the Lord bless and keep each of you! I've missed you all!
