I recentlly attended the Card Maker Success Summit, and Einat Kessler demonstrated how to create a double slider card during her presentation. I need a birthday card for my husband this month, so I decided to create a camping-themed card using the double slider card design.
I started by choosing Altenew's Stencil Art: Serene Landscapes stencil set to create all the background panels. I used the following Altenew inks: Desert Night, Reindeer Moss, Lime, and Choco Hazelnut. I used Altenew's Antique Silver Shimmer Relief Paste for the starry skies. I stamped "happy birthday" using a stamp from Altenew's Bouquet of Poppies set.
Then I created the card base and adhered all the panels together as Einat showed in her video. If you'd like to see how to create this card, I found the same video I watched during the CMSS on Einat's YouTube channel from a few years ago here: 12 Cards of Christmas 2021 - Double Slider Card. You can download the measurements for free, also.
Once I had the card assembled, I die cut the camper using Altenew's Cute Camper Layering Die Set. I added it to the card front using Altenew's Instant Dimension Foam Tape. My husband loves camping, so I think he's going to enjoy this card.

Very cool card, Carrie! I know your hubby will love it. I saved the video to watch later and subscribed to her channel too. That card making summit sounds like a great time! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Word Art Wednesday. We love seeing what you've created! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Barb! I hope you will give this card design a try!
DeleteThis is just so fun, Carrie! What a great scene with these cute die cuts. Love the slider element. Your hubby will surely adore this. I did a class IRL with Einat at CHA years back. She is a great instructor. Thanks for sharing your inspiration with A Cut Above's August Challenge.

Thank you so much, Brenda! I was a little confused by your comment at first and then remembered “holiday” means “vacation” for you rather than Christmas time. 😊
