I've seen several cardmakers recently creating a quick and easy fun fold with the center panel opening up. If you'd like to try this style out, here's a video with a few variations: Quick & Easy Fun Fold - Card on a Card Design You’ll Love! For my card, I changed the dimensions a bit (all measurements given below), but the idea is the same.
To create my card, I started with a piece of 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inch Kelly Green Cadillac cardstock from Your Paper Insider's Box 13. (All papers except the white cardstock for the center panel on the card are from Your Paper Insider.) Then I trimmed two pieces of Marigold Thai Unryu paper that I had adhered to Ultrawhite Smooth Cardstock with a spray adhesive to 1 5/8 by 4 inches. I used Art Glitter glue to adhere them to the side of the green panel. Then I created the center pop up panel using a piece of white cardstock trimmed to 2 5/8 by 8 inches and scored at 4 inches.
I sprayed watercolor paper from Your Paper Insider with Altenew's Warm Sunshine Shimmer Spray and let that dry while I die cut the pieces for the branch, flowers, and oranges from Altenew's Orange Blossom Die Set. I used Pumpkin Colormates Cardstock, more of the Marigold Thai Unryu on Ultrawhite Smooth Cardstock, Key Lime Colormates Cardstock, Green Leaf Vellum, and White Holographic Confetti Jr from Box 13 and Bronze and Bright Orange Glitter Cardstock from Your Paper Insider's Non-Shed Glitter Assortment Pack. Once I had everything die cut, I assembled my branch the way I wanted it and used Press 'N Seal to hold the piece in place. I trimmed 2 panels of the sprayed watercolor paper to 2 1/8 by 3 3/4 and adhered one of them to the front of the pop up panel. I then adhered the oranges, leaves, flowers, and branch, being careful to only add glue to the parts that touch the center panel.
For the inside of the card, I stamped "wishing you everything wonderful" from Altenew's Craft-Your-Life: Tangerine Grove project kit and added an orange, a flower, and some leaves and then adhered the panel to the inside of the white center pop up panel.
I finished the card by adding some of Altenew's Emerald City Gem Sparkles to the side panels on the front of the card.
