Pastel Floral Lace Birthday Card

I recently attended a class by Altenew Educator Ishani S, and I had so much fun creating cards with my crafty friends online. We started with a white top-folding A2 card base. Then we blended white ink onto a few panels of white cardstock before blending pastel colors over the white ink. This made the colors so soft and pretty! Then we die cut the flowers for our cards using the cardstock we had ink blended. I used Altenew's Fresh Flowers die set for all the flowers and Altenew's Craft-A-Flower: Aftrican Daisy for the leaves. 

Next, we die cut Altenew's Floral Lace die out of white cardstock. We trimmed it and added it to a panel cut to 2 1/4 inches by 4 1/4 inches. I used yellow cardstock for my panel and added some fun foam behind it for dimension. I added the lacy die cuts to the panel and then arranged the flowers and leaves over the lace. I used liquid glue in some places and some of Altenew's Instant Dimension Foam Tape in other places to adhere the flowers and leaves. 

For the sentiment, I stamped "have a beautiful day" using Altenew's Build-A-Garden: Tranquil Trail stamp set and VersaMark embossing ink on vellum I had added double-sided adhesive to. I added white embossing powder and heat set the powder. After it had cooled, I die cut the sentiment using the coordinating die. Then I took off the backing paper from the double-sided adhesive and adhered the sentiment to the card front. 

To finish the card, I added a few gems from Altenew's Smoky Quartz Gem Sparkle set.
