A Pinch of Love Pocket Card

This week at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge, our twist is to "Show us Some Love." Hope you can join us! Remember, you can always submit an "Anything Goes" project instead, so why not play along?!
This month our sponsor at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday is Make it Crafty. This cute crab image came as part of an underwater scene with lots of different elements. You can visit their store and check out their scenes and images at
http://www.makeitcrafty.com/

I used a cut file from the Silhouette Online Store to make this pocket with a card inside. The cut file makes a tab on the side and bottom of the front panel that fold over and get glue taped to the back part of the pocket. Simple and easy way to make a pocket for the slide-in card that came with the cut file.
I used Close to My Heart Valentine paper for the pocket and card. I colored the crab digi with Copic markers and then used some Craft Products Classic Glimmer Chalks pink chalk for the background. I used Gina Marie dies for the stitched hearts and the stitched circle, Marianne dies and stamps for the heart/scalloped heart die combinations and the "xoxo, "hugs," and "sweetheart" stamps, and a Sizzix Tim Holtz sketched heart behind the stitched heart on the front of the pocket. "A pinch of love" and "Happy Valentine's Day" came from CTMH stamp sets. I also added a few pink buttons tied with waxed floss.
Thanks for stopping by!
Here's the card inside the pocket:

  3. A crab is quite an original choice of image for a Valentine card, but why not? The colors of love suits him perfectly, and personally I love anything that has to do with the sea:) nice detailing, great design!

  4. OMGoodness Love the shape of your card and the paper is wonderful. I will say that the crab is a little surprise, I understand the sentiment "A pinch of Love". I agree with Pia it is a different kind of choice. You really have some amazing die cuts and the embellishments are wonderful. Great job, I like your creativity.
