Jesus: Name Above All Names Card

This month over at Die Cut Divas, the challenge is sponsored by Birch Press Designs, and the theme is to use layering dies. I only have one die set from Birch Press, and it's this gorgeous Enchantment layering die set. There are 3 cover plates that combine to produce amazing depth in this design. I really love the effect!

I was originally thinking of using this die set to create a background for a card challenge where the colors were red, orange, and pink, but in the end, I couldn't bear to cover all that beautiful die cutting with the rest of the challenge requirements. Instead, I opted to use a Papertrey Ink stamp and die set to fill the bottom area where the dies cut out 2 optional arches that can be added to the rest of the die cut cover plate area or used separately. I love that versatility! I opted to include them on the inside of the card and leave that area on the front empty so I could include the die cut "Jesus" and the stamped sentiment "Name above all names." As I have been studying the gospel of John this year in my Bible Study Fellowship class, I have been struck anew by the absolute supremacy of Jesus. He alone is the Savior of the world. And He has the power and authority to forgive sins and give eternal life to everyone who puts their faith in Him.

TIME OUT Challenges: Anytime I focus on Jesus, I think of His great love for me shown by His willingness to die in my place to pay for my sins. This is what I am most grateful for in all the world! And it's so true that when we focus on our gratitude, our perspective shifts dramatically. C5
